Joy von Tiedemann, has recently completed an inspiring new collection of twelve black and white hand portraits, each one emblematic of the "FROM THE DARK TO THE LIGHT" theme and reflective of the human characteristics of survival and our shared humanity.

"Throughout history art has overcome the artificial barriers that divide humanity; the barriers of nation, race, culture, even religion.  Art opens the closed door of our egotism and casts a light on the transcendent qualities that we all share, challenging us to become who we truly are : one shared spirit.
